Right now Agri Natural India (ANI) involved in the Development of complete STEVIA value chain in Northern India.
Agri Natural India Ludhiana Punjab signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research CSIR-IHBT an institute of Govt of India at Palampur for establishing Stevia Nursery, Stevia cultivation in over 50 acres of land with technical know-how from CSIR-IHBT. CSIR-IHBT will also provide guidance and technical know-how to set up processing units in for extraction of steviol glycosides.
Since the last three year, Agri Natural India is actively involved in the cultivation of Stevia plant with various farmers & corporate sectors in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh region and employed a team of agriculture graduates looking after each nodal center/area of land under stevia cultivation. The cultivation of Stevia at a large scale is also playing a key role in generating employment in this sector.
As Agri Natural India believes that contract Farming is an effective way to increase the company’s production and the financial stability of farmers too, company is providing a platform for farmers to pursue the agricultural practices to cultivate the land. Stevia plant is cultivated and harvested by the farmers and in return, Company pays them the fair prices according to the total quantity of good quality of stevia leaves produced by them. The company also supports the farmer through supplying inputs (seeds, plants), assisting with land preparation, providing production advice, pest management and transporting produce to its premises. Our agriculture officers ensure compliance by regular monitoring during their periodic visits. Contract farming is an agricultural production carried out according to an agreement between the company and farmers, which establishes conditions for the production and marketing of a farm product or products.
Setting an example of Stevia farming, many farmers & corporates allied with Agri Natural India have been cultivating Stevia on around 100 acres of land spread across the different cities of Punjab, which has led to a sharp rise in their income.
